Morrison keen to make an impression at Rovers

The Sligo Rovers squad now numbers 17 for the forthcoming season.

19-year-old Scottish attacker Lewis Morrison was yesterday unveiled as the latest addition to Gerard Lyttle’s squad on a one-year deal.

Morrison says that a frustrating few months at St Mirren has left him determined to prove himself again…

Rovers boss Gerard Lyttle says the striker has been brought in for his attacking ability, but there is more to his game than just finding the net…

Meanwhile, Rovers are hosting open trials for the club’s U19 team this evening at 7.30pm.

It is the second night of trials for potential new recruits, following an initial night on Tuesday last.

Anybody interested in the trials must be born in the years 1999 or 2000, and be at the Showgrounds by 7pm.
