A Donegal TD has hit out at his constituency colleague Minister Joe McHugh for being ‘quick to welcome funding announcements’ but staying silent when there is a problem to be dealt with.
Fianna Fail TD Charlie McConologue says the HSE’s plan for the coming year has failed to sanction 20 extra beds for Letterkenny University hospital.
He says the extra beds would make a huge difference to a hospital that has been consistently under pressure not just for months but for years.
He has hit out strongly at Fine Gael Minister Joe McHugh and other Fine Gael representatives for staying quiet on important issues like this:
