Coaches from St Naul’s and Devenish nominated for Ulster award

St Naul’s clubman Glen Campbell and Devenish’s Eunan O’Flanagan have been shortlisted for an Ulster coaching award.

Translink and the Ulster GAA have released the names of the nine coaches shortlisted for the Coach of the Year Awards.

The initiative, which is designed to recognise those club coaches who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the teaching and development of Gaelic games, saw dozens of clubs from across every county in Ulster submit entries.

A judging panel that included Armagh football manager Kieran McGeeney selected one person from each county to go through to the online public vote.

The winner will receive free coach travel for one year for their club team and specially commissioned Coach of the Year gear.

Members of the public can now vote on the Ulster GAA website to decide who the overall winner will be.

Voting closes at midnight on Sunday.
