Minister of State for Agriculture meeting IFA members in Leitrim today

The Irish Farmers Association say it’s a ‘step forward’ having Minister of State for Agriculture, Andrew Doyle ‘out on a farm’

Farmers have had to deal with very bad weather conditions over the last number of months leaving it very difficult to carry out day to day duties.

Minister Doyle will be meeting with members of the IFA this afternoon at around 12.30pm on a local farm in Newtowngore, Co. Leitrim.

Speaking to OceanFM, Donegal IFA Chairman Michael Chance says they want to show the Minister what the conditions are like on the ground.

Mr Chance also says delays in payments need to be addressed.
