In a discussion on respect for women, one of our contributors, Maire Garvey, has claimed that there was a culture of indifference in the 1980’s on the occasion when the then Fianna Fail leader, Charlie Haughey, pinched her bum. Maire claims her complaints at the time were not taken seriously by his entourage.
