It’s mayoral election day in Donegal Town



Today is election day in Donegal Town.

Starting at 10 o’clock this morning, people can cast their votes for a new Mayor of Donegal.

There are two candidates in the race, Vincent Callaghan, husband of outgoing mayor Patricia Callaghan, and Padraig Kennedy.

The position is an honorary one but the holder plays a key role in representing, promoting and lobbying for Donegal Town during a two-year term.

Voting takes place until 7pm in the John Bosco Centre.
