Slurry spreading: Minister says each case can be dealt with individually



The Minister for Agriculture says he is not in a position to extend the slurry-spreading deadline.

However, speaking to Ocean FM News the Minister said that in light of the bad weather each individual case would be dealt with.

The deadline for slurry spreading is fast approaching later this month.

The wet weather especially in the North West Region has caused havoc for farmers and prevented them from being able to spread slurry.

The Minister says he is in the middle of key EU negotiations which mean that he is simply not in a position to announce an extension but farmers will be dealth with fairly:
