INHFA says the government is reneging on previous agreements



The Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association President says that the government is reneging on previous agreements.

Following Budget 2018 speech on Tuesday by Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohue, farmers have been left annoyed by a number of issues.

President of the INHFA, Colm O’Donnell says that an underspend of €5m in the Sheep Welfare Scheme and the lack of assurance on wheter Agricultural land will be exempt from the stamp duty tax increase to 6%.

Speaking to OceanFM, Mr. O’Donnell says that the government have broken previously agreed to terms.
