Sligo Intercultural Forum is hosting a number of activities in the North West

Sligo Intercultural Forum is hosting a number of activities to try and promote their work to integrate other cultures into life in the North West.

It’s one of a number of such forums around the country and it was set up in 2012.

Cathy Kilcoyne of the Sligo Family Resource Centre and a development worker with the Forum says they have weekly drop-in centres and a drop-in cafe on the last Thursday of every month between 10 and 12 noon.

Ms. Kilcoyne says they also partner up with local groups like Sligo Rovers with a new project offering English language tutoring and soccer training starting weekly from next Wednesday in the Showgrounds between 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

While creative crafts sessions also start next Wednesday 4th of October from 10:30am in the Sligo Family Resource Centre.

Cathy Kilcoyne says the events are to celebrate all cultures:
