A new report published by AirBnB reveals that Irish holiday goers prefer to stay in Ireland over travelling abroad.
AirBnB is an online booking site where people rent out their own homes for people looking for accomodation with AirBnB taking a percentage.
11 of the top 15 destinations for Irish travellers are here in Ireland with 3 of the locations featuring Co. Donegal as the top destinations with Buncrana at No.7 on the list, County Donegal as a whole is No.11 while Ballyshannon comes in at No. 14.
This follows on from National Geographics naming Donegal as the ‘coolest place on the planet’ recently which has seen the county have an increase in tourists from home and abroad.
