115,000 homes and businesses to avail of fibre broadband in the region



A new fibre broadband network being installed in Leitrim and Donegal will mean faster internet access to everyone regardless of what provider you are with.

That’s the promise of Enet, the company behind yesterday’s launch by the Minister for Communications, Denis Naughten.

The new project launched in Ballinsloe focuses on bringing broadband to 115,000 regional homes and businesses in the Galway, Roscommon, Leitrim and Donegal.

Manorhamilton in County Leitrim along with Ballyshannon in County Donegal are among those towns selected for the new investment.

The plans mean that the infrastructure for high speed broadband will be in place, and is then down to Internet Service Providers to bring broadband to homes and businesses.
