Seventh CEO for Leitrim in less than twenty years



Leitrim Councillors hope a new CEO can be appointed to the Local Authority without delay.

The current CEO Frank Curran is to finish in the role on Friday and attended his last monthly meeting of the Council yesterday in Carrick-on-Shannon.

He will now take up the position as Chief Executive with Wicklow County Council.

In a statement to Ocean FM News today the Council said ‘Details as to who will be replacing Mr. Curran are not yet available for disclosure’.

However it’s understood Director of Services Joseph Gilhooly will now take over the role in an acting capacity until it is filled again which Councilllors fear could take a number of months.
