Irish Water working on supplies in south Sligo, and Sligo town

Irish Water says it expects works to be completed this afternoon on a burst pipe in the Banada area of south Sligo.

The repairs are ongoing and supply may be disrupted in the areas of Cloonraver, Dawros, Curraghboy, Banada Bridge, the Border Collie Pub, Curraghbunaun, Cloonagh and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of disruptions to supply as well as water of a red-brownish colour in some parts of Sligo Town this morning.

Irish Water says upgrades to the water mains may lead to disruptions in the Molloway Place, Gateway Apartments and other areas.

The works are expected to continue until about 8pm this evening.
