Donegal pair help Ireland’s women’s team to opening win



Two Donegal women helped inspire Ireland to a 19-17 win over Australia in their opening game at the Women’s World Cup last night.
Larissa Muldoon scored a first-half try, while fellow Donegal native Nora Stapleton landed two conversions.

Ireland’s next opponents, Japan, suffered a 72-14 loss to France in the other Pool C game last night.
