Wednesday night’s minor championship action in Donegal



There were 13 games played last night as the Donegal Minor Football Championship took centre stage.

League champions Naomh Columba suffered a setback away to St Michael’s, losing by 3-4 to 0-9.

Kilcar took the points from Aodh Ruadh in Ballyshannon thanks to a 4-7 to 1-8 victory.

St Naul’s claimed the bragging rights against Muff with a 3-16 to 1-7 win in Mountcharles, but Killybegs lost out by a point away to Buncrana, 2-10 to 2-9.

There were also wins for Naomh Conaill against Dungloe, Ardara against Malin and Mac Cumhaill’s against Letterkenny Gaels.

Cloughaneely, Downings, Red Hughs, Milford and Naomh Colmcille all recorded wins in Division Two.

And one game took place in Division 3 as Naomh Brid/Pettigo were impressive in securing the points away against Naomh Padraig Lifford on a scoreline of 4-10 to 1-6.
