The Leitrim club championships take centre stage over the next few weeks, and the fixtures for the opening two rounds have been confirmed by the Leitrim Competitions Control Committee.
The senior champions from the last three seasons, Mohill and Aughawillan will get the games underway when they clash in Cloone on Friday, July 28 at 8.30pm.
Last year’s beaten finalists, Glencar/Manorhamilton open up with a game against neighbours Dromahair at 12 noon in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada on Sunday, July 30, with the club’s Junior A team facing Annaduff immediately afterwards.
Melvin Gaels start their campaign with a game against Gortlettragh on Saturday, July 29, at 6pm in Allen Park, Drumshanbo, with the intermediate game between Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher and Kiltubrid following at the same venue from 7.30pm.
Drumkeerin face Fenagh/St Caillin’s on the same evening in Pairc Sean from 7.30pm.
In round two the following week, Pairc Sean will host a double-header involving Dromahair and Drumreilly, and Melvin Gaels and Mohill on the Saturday evening, while Glencar/Manor face Annaduff in Drumshanbo on the same day.
The Junior B Championship gets underway that weekend, and Glencar/Manor’s third team face St Osnatt’s as part of a double-header at Allen Park.
