An Independent TD in Donegal has hit back at comments made by former Tanaiste Mary Coughlan earlier this week on ‘Independents’.
The former Fianna Fail TD who also held several Ministeries during a long career in government questioned what ‘real’ change has come about as a result of the swing to Independents in recent years.
However, Deputy Thomas Pringle has issued a press release stating her own legacy is ‘nothing to be proud of’.
He refutes any claims TDs like himself don’t deliver for rural areas pointing to the success of the water charges campaign as one such achievement.
