Galway’s Cawley and Holohan to miss Showgrounds tie on Saturday

Galway United will be without two key players for Saturday’s game against Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds.

Former Rovers midfielder David Cawley is suspended for the tie, as is Gavin Holohan, who inspired Galway to a penalty shootout defeat of the Bit O’ Red on their last trip to the Showgrounds for an EA Sports Cup quarter-final tie in early May.

Rovers midfielder Chris Kenny must also serve a one-game ban for Saturday’s game.

Defender Damian McNulty, midfielder Ethan Boyle, winger Caolan McAleer and striker Danny Morrissey are all banned for the home side, while the Hoops will be without Graham Burke, Trevor Clarke, David McAllister and David Webster as they serve bans.

Harps also have injury concerns over striker Eddie Dsane and midfielder Barry Molloy for tomorrow’s game, which kicks-off at 8pm in Finn Park.
