Quigley targeting winter return to action following surgery on injured hand

Donegal champion boxer Jason Quigley says he is targeting a winter return to the ring following surgery on his right hand.

The Finn Valley boxer picked up the injury in just the second round of his March NABF middleweight title fight with American Glen Tapia, but managed to fight on for the remaining eight rounds to claim a unanimous decision and his first professional belt.

A huge crowd turned out at the Finn Valley Centre in Stranorlar last night to greet Jason Quigley on his return to his home club.

The LA-based 26-year-old has won each of his first 13 fights since turning professional in 2014.
