Both Sligo County Council Cathaoirleach Hubert Keaney and Councillor Dara Mulvey, both Fine Gael, are to support Leo Varadkar for the Fine Gael leadership.
Local Councillors will account for 10% of the final vote to decide on the new leader in a system that is being used for the first time by in this contest.
