Travel writers bound for Sligo next week

Some of America’s top travel writers will be travelling to Sligo next week.

They are in Ireland for the prestigious Travel Classics International Writers’ Conference in Kilkenny, which runs from today until Sunday.

The gathering is regarded at the world’s foremost networking event for travel writers and editors.

Among the publications represented are Conde Nast Traveller, National Geographic Traveller and Harper’s Bazaar, which have a combined circulation of 87 million.

Failte Ireland is organising trips for those attending.

Next week, while in Sligo, the journalists will visit Lissadell House, a Yeats Dinner Experience in Broc House in Sligo, Strandhill Surf School and Drumcliffe and Yeats’s grave.

Facebook is accused of inaccurately claiming it would be unable to combine user data between the two companies’ accounts.
