Sligo Fire service was called to an incident at IT Sligo last night, Monday.
Two units attended the scene at 11.15pm, when insulation in the cavity of a concrete wall which is under construction at the college was reported to be smouldering.
The incident was brought quickly under control with personnel leaving the scene at approximatley 1am.
A representative for IT Sligo told Ocean FM News that minimal damage was sustained to the site.
Work on the site recommenced as normal at 7 this morning.
