Ballymote and Geevagh to get Enterprise funding



Two projects in South Sligo are to benefit from investment of €25,000.
The funding has been allocated from the Arigna Enterprise Fund for Ballymote Community Enterprise and the Geevagh Local Area Development.
In Ballymote, it’s proposed to develop the Ballymote Heritage Trail, a  2.5km long route to bring people to four historical sites: the Franciscan Abbey, Ballymote Castle, the Old Cornmill and Emlaghfad Church.

In Geevagh, there are proposals to develop a series of guided routes in the area that will bring people on a trail to historical and cultural points of interest.
