Schools get funding under Summer Works Scheme



A number of schools in the region will benefit from the Department of Education’s Summer Works Scheme.

The scheme provides for major improvements and will provide for mechanical, sanitation and roof upgrades.

The schools in Sligo include Cloghogue National School in Castlebaldwin; Naomh Iosef, Templeboy; Scoil Ursula, Strandhill Road, Sligo; Colaiste Easkey; and Grange Post Primary School.

In Leitrim, roof repairs will take place on Manorhamilton Boys’ School.

Speaking to Ocean FM this, Fine Gael Councillor Dara Mulvey welcomed the funding.
