File to go to DPP following Donegal robbery

A Donegal garage and filling station owner was threatened with a knife on the forecourt of his premises earlier this week.

The incident occurred at the Clar Road in Donegal Town.

Two youths, one of whom had a knife, threatened the owner and made off after he handed over a sum of money.

In a follow-up investigation, Gardai arrested two people, who were held at Ballyshannon Garda Station.

Money was recovered and the pair were later released.

A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
