Bus workers now studying what Labour Court recommendations mean for them

With the Bus Eireann strike now over, company workers throughout the North West are now studying what the Labour Court recommendations will mean for them.

In the coming weeks, they will be balloted on the recommendations, which it is hoped will finally end the dispute.

In Sligo, Damien Healy, North West representtive of the National Bus and Rail Union, says they are awaiting for their union to outline what the situation now is.

He spoke to Ocean FM News this morning:

Professor in Employment Law at Maynooth University, Michael Doherty, has been reviewing the deal reached with the unions and he believes it may be enough to get through the ballot.
