Body of Donegal mother recovered from Lough Erne

An investigation’s underway into the death of a 30 year old mother of two from Donegal whose body was recovered from Lough Erne in Fermanagh this morning.

It’s understood the woman fell overboard from a rental boat near Devenish Island.

Her two young children were on the boat at time and that her husband dived into the water to try to rescue her.

The PSNI says an investigation is underway and a post-mortem is due to be carried out.

Earlier this month the bodies of a man and woman in their 30s – who had hired a boat – were recovered from the River Shannon in Carrick on Shannon, County Leitrim.
