Sergeant warns Donegal isolated in terms of tackling rural crime



Gardai in Donegal do not have the same backup as other counties when it comes to tackling crime due to its remote location.

Donegal crime prevention sergeant Paul Wallace has made the point when he spoke to Ocean FM from this week’s AGSI conference in Kerry.

Today is the final day of the annual delegate conference.

Tackling rural crime was a talking point after a recent report commissioned by the AGSI showed that over 70% of people living in country areas don’t feel that tackling crime is adequately resourced.
