Bundoran Tidy Towns launches campaign to bring awareness about dog fouling

Bundoran Tidy Towns volunteer committee has launched a campaign to prevent dog fouling around the seaside town.

Posters will be displayed in businesses, free “poop bags” will be given from the tourist office, Supervalu and from dispensers located along popular walking routes, and there will also be an online campaign to encourage dog owners to clean up after their pets.

Chairman of Bundoran Tidy Towns, Michael Mc Mahon, says that dog fouling is still a major issue in the community and is encouraging dog owners to bring a bag with them when bringing them for walks and that any bins can be used to dispose of it, not just dog bins.

Bundoran Tourism Officer, Shane Smyth, will be speaking with Niall Delaney tomorrow morning (Monday) on North West Today.
