Visiting restrictions lifted at Letterkenny University Hospital



Visiting restrictions have been lifted for most wards at Letterkenny University Hospital.

All wards, except for Surgical 2, are now open, according to the Saolta Hospital Group.

However, visitors are asked to be vigilant with hand hygiene when attending the hospital.

It also urges that anyone experiencing vomiting and/or diarrhoea at home should not visit the hospital.

Meanwhile, there are 11 patients at the hospital waiting for a bed today. Nine are in wards and two on trolleys.

In Sligo University Hospital, there are 16 people waiting for a bed — 13 on trolleys and three in wards.

22 people are waiting in Galway University Hospital for a bed.
