Although property owners and businesses throughout Sligo are now getting their valuation certificates, this is by no means the end of the process.
The valuation is based on a range of factors
Declan Lavelle, head of valuation services with the Valuation Office, recently told a meeting of Sligo County Council that the office may not have all the relevant information in relation to each properties.
It was therefore vital for ratepayers to make submissions if they feel their valuation is incorrect.
