Donegal councillor calls for aid package for marinas and piers



A Donegal councillor is calling on the Department of the Marine to provide a special aid package for marinas and piers.

Sinn Fein Councillor Noel Jordan called for the package at this week’s meeting of Donegal Municipal District of the county council.

His calls follow a public meeting at Inver Pier last week where local fishermen outlined their concerns at what they say is the busiest in the county after Killybegs when it comes to fish landings.

Councillor Jordan says now with the added uncertainty of Brexit, it’s vital people in the local communities near these piers can continue to earn a living:
