North West businesses to benefit from new International Trade Centre in US

A new International Trade Centre which will benefit businesses in Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim is being opened in the US this week.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny will officially open the center in Providence alongside the governor of Rhode Island Gina Raimondo on Tuesday morning local time.

The trade centre is a partnership between Local Authorities in the west and north west of Ireland, Ireland West Airport Knock and the Western Development Commission.

It’s aim is to develop a ‘soft landing platform’ in the US for companies, businesses and entrepreneurs from the West and North West.

Representatives from Leitrim, Donegal and Sligo county councils will also be in attendance as will Minister for the diaspora and Donegal TD Joe McHugh.

John Reilly of the Sligo Local Enterprise Office explains how the office will be of benefit to local business here.
