An Post admit closures will happen but no decision on how many



The CEO of An Post has admitted there will be closures – but says no decision has yet been made on how many.

Weekend reports suggested the company could be considering shutting 200 outlets across the country in a bid to cut costs.

Two post offices in this region – Ballygawley and Blacklion – are waiting to have their future determined.

An Post has already announced plans to increase the cost of stamps.

The organisation’s CEO David McRedmond says the closures are needed to ensure we have a viable postal service in the future:
