Michael Murphy, Glan, Culleens, Co. Sligo. Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral home, Ballina, this evening from 7pm until 9pm. Funeral will arrive to the Church of the Holy Family, Kilglass, on Friday for 12 noon requiem mass with burial afterwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kilglass.

 

Thomas ‘Tommy’ Lavin, Lord Edward street, Ballymote, Co. Sligo. Former member of Sligo County Council. Funeral mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymote, today at 12 noon with burial afterwards in St. Columbas Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to the North West Hospice, Sligo.

 

Sister Assumpta Doherty, St. Catherine’s Convent, College Street, Ballyshannon and formerly of Kincasslagh, Co. Donegal. Funeral mass at St. Catherine’s Convent this morning at 11am with burial afterwards in the Abbey cemetery, Ballyshannon.

 

Mary Wynne, Rosses Point and Thornhill, Sligo. Peacefully at The Mater Private Hospital, after a long illness. Daughter of the late Jack and Joan Wynne, Boyle, Co Roscommon. Deeply regretted by her brother John, sister-in-law Dervilla, their family, Ross, Nessa and Sam, and colleagues in Cregg House. Mass of Thanksgiving at 12 noon on Friday in St.Joseph’s Church, Ballytivnan, Sligo, followed by burial in Assylinn Cemetery, Boyle, Co. Roscommon.

 

Michael James Cryan, Drumcliffe South, Drumcliffe, Co. Sligo. Funeral will arrive at St. Colmcille’s Church, Rathcormac, this morning for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with burial in Drumcliffe Cemetery afterwards

 

 

Kathleen Banks, nee McGowan. Carnagark, Ballinfull, Co. Sligo. Removal today to St. Patrick’s Church, Maugherow, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Carrigans cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the North West Hospice, Sligo.

 

Kathleen Scanlon, Upper John St, Sligo. Peacefully at St. John’s Hospital, Sligo. Reposing at the Foley & McGowan funeral home, Market yard, Sligo this evening from 6pm to 7pm. Removal from the funeral home on Friday morning at 11.15am to The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30am. Interment in Sligo Cemetery afterwards.

 

Winnifred Hannon, nee Scanlon, Kilfree, Gurteen, Co. Sligo. Peacefully. Reposing at her residence. Removal this evening to St. Patrick’s Church, Gurteen, arriving at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Carrentemple Cemetery.

 

John McGowan, also known as John the Shoemaker of Cloonawillin, Kinlough, Co, Leitrim. Peacefully at Sligo University Hospital. Reposing at his family home today from 4pm with removal to St. Aidan’s Church, Kinlough for funeral mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial in the new cemetery, Kinlough. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to the North West Hospice, Sligo. House Private please on Friday morning. A one-way system will operate, with all traffic going to the family home entering from the Manorhamilton/Kinlough road at Park.
