Almost 400 people are on hospital trolleys according to nurses today.
The latest report from the INMO shows Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded with 31 people waiting on a bed.
There are 11 people on trolleys today at Sligo University Hospital today and 22 in Letterkenny – a significant reduction on yesterday where emergency protocols had to be put in place to deal with the numbers.
The figures come as unions attend the WRC today – ahead of next week’s work-to-rule over their working conditions.
