LISTEN BACK: Reaction from Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim after NFL Round 3



Donegal and Dublin played out a draw in Division One of the National League yesterday.

Ryan McHugh and Jason McGee got the goals in a 2-5 to 1-8 win in Ballybofey.

There were top-flight wins at the weekend for Mayo against Roscommon and for Monaghan against Kerry, while Fermanagh lost out by 1-14 to 0-9 away to Cork in Division Two.

In Division Three, Sligo scored just two points in the second half and lost out by 0-11 to 1-7 to Antrim in Belfast.

Louth stay top of Division Three after beating Offaly, while Armagh defeated Longford and Tipperary beat Sligo’s next opponents, Laois.

Carlow, Wicklow and Wexford claimed Division Four wins, while an understrength Leitrim lost out by 2-18 to 1-9 to Westmeath in Mullingar.

Leitrim selector Seamus Quinn admitted it was a tough afternoon. He spoke with PJ Leddy.

In club action, Martin McHugh has stepped down as senior team manager of his native Kilcar.

The All-Ireland winner led them to last year’s county final.

Kilcar lost out to Gaoth Dobhair in the Donegal Gaeltacht Championship on Saturday in their first game of the season.

And in Leitrim, Glencar/Manorhamilton beat Ballinamore in the Shield competition.
