Bin charges have a large part to play in illegal dumping across Sligo according to a local councillor.
People Before Profit representative Gino O’Boyle raised the issue of illegal dumping in the county at this week’s meeting of Sligo municipal district.
He specifically cited Ballytivnan and Riverside as areas in need of CCTV in an attempt to curb the practice.
Other councillors have raised the issue of illegal dumping on a number of occasions at municipal and county council meetings in recent months.
