Rovers and Harps awarded Premier Division licences

All of the League of Ireland clubs have been granted licences for the new season by the FAI’s Independent Club Licencing Committee.

Sligo Rovers and Finn Harps are among the 14 teams awarded Premier Division licences, with Waterford FC and Longford Town the two teams outside the top-light that fulfilled the Premier Division criteria.

Meanwhile, Rovers announced an extension of their sponsorship deal with the Clayton Hotel yesterday.

And the Bit O’ Red confirmed a final pre-season friendly against Athlone Town this Sunday at 5pm in the Showgrounds.

Tonight, Rovers host Finn Harps in a friendly at the Maugheraboy venue from 7.45pm.
