Tackling racism is not just a global issue but one that has to be considered locally



Malaka Mohammed is from Gaza. She is a refugee living in Exeter in the south west of England. She has not seen her family in four years. She will be giving a talk in the Sligo City Hotel tomorrow (Saturday 11th Feb) at 2pm organised by the United Against Racism Group in Sligo. It’s one of a number of such talks she was invited over to give here in Ireland.

Malaka is herself a Muslim and an activist campaigning for human rights. Claire Mulcahy has been speaking to her about her status as a refugee in the UK and her views on Brexit and the new US administration:
