Gardai have confirmed that a man who died after a work place accident in Co.Galway yesterday evening is from Co. Donegal.
The man, who is believed to be in his 30s or 40s died after being involved in an accident when installing pontoons at Ros a Mhil Harbour in Connemara last evening.
A garda spokesperson told Ocean FM that “they could not confirm the identity of the deceased as his family had yet to be fully informed”.
The scene was attended by the Irish coast guard and the man was flown to University Hospital Galway where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation by the Health and Safety Authority is currently underway.
