A Sligo/Leitrim TD says the future of another post office in the North West has come under threat this week.
Sinn Fein’s Martin Kenny says that An Post are undecided about renewing the contract at Aughavas Post Office in county Leitrim after the business was sold.
It comes as the decision on the future of the post office in Ballygawley, Co. Sligo and Blacklion, Co. Cavan, has reportedly been reached by An Post but not yet announced.
Deputy Kenny says it flies in the face of the government’s plan to protect local services.
