More money needed for ‘class 3’ rural roads

A west Sligo Councillor is calling for more money to improve small rural roads.

Independent Councillor Joe Queenan wants to see money set aside to maintain these class three roads in the county.

He raised the issue at a recent meeting of the Ballymote/Tubbercurry municipal district and all councillors agreed to call on the Minister for Transport to do so.

The Enniscrone based councillor said it’s been too long since money was set aside specifically for these roads.
