The Mayo native led Leitrim to their last Connacht Championship win back in 1994 and has re-joined the county this year as part of Brendan Guckian’s management team.

Also at last night’s event, county chairman Terence Boyle stressed that strengthening the clubs in the county, particularly in terms on underage coaching, is the focus for the County Board going forward…

Leitrim face Sligo in their final FBD League game of the season on Sunday.

That game throws-in at 2pm on Sunday in Tourlestrane, though Galway have already secured top spot in the group ahead of their game against GMIT tonight.

Leitrim’s U21s are also in action tonight – they face Longford in Newtownforbes at 8pm in the Hastings Cup semi-finals.
