Warnock: ‘Brexit makes new bridge urgent on Kinlough/Bundoran road’



A Leitrim councillor says that with Brexit, there is now an urgency for a new bridge to be provided on the R280 regional road linking Kinlough in Leitrim and Bundoran in Donegal.

Fianna Fail Councillor Justin Warnock says that if there are new custom controls along the border, the R280 will become a major route from Donegal to Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan.

At this week’s meeting of Manorhamilton Municipal District councillors, Cllr Warnock called for the Leitrim council chief executive to meet with the chief executive in Donegal, the director of the Northern and Western Regional Assembly and nine TDS in the area.
