The capacity at a Sligo nursing home is expected to increase in the near future.
Ballymote Community Nursing Unit has been granted planning permission from Sligo County Council for two new single storey extensions.
Ocean FM news have received no reply to correspondence with the HSE about when the work will begin.
The extensions will comprise of a new bedroom block providing 12 bed spaces, increasing the occupancy of the building from 27 to 31.
Some exterior works will also take place including road resurfacing, landscaping and surface water drainage installations.
