Over €100,000 in vouchers sold for Donegal Town businesses

The Donegal Town Business Focus Group are hoping to expand their shop local voucher scheme after a successful Christmas.

The initiative was launched last year and is designed to maximise local spend and ensure jobs are retained in the community.

The business group is a collective of businesses and individuals in business that covers the area from Donegal Town to Mountcharles and Laghey.

Since it’s launch €110,000 worth of vouchers have been bought with €70,000 redeemed so far.

Vouchers continue to be sold in the Donegal Town Credit Union in denominations from €5 to €50 and a list of participating businesses is available on thisisdonegal.ie

PRO for the Donegal Town Business Focus Group Ray Rooney told me they hope to target businesses in places like Ardara and Killybegs in 2017.
