Gardaí in Carrick-on-Shannon have uncovered a cannabis grow house in Aughavass, Leitrim.
250 mature plants ready for harvesting have been seized in a highly sophisticated grow house with an estimated street value in excess of €200,000.
A non national, in his early 50’s, has been arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
The house is sealed off for a forensic technical examination which is taking place at this time.
