IDA says significant number of companies want to relocate to Ireland after Brexit



Shoppers heading to the January sales are being reminded that the same consumer rights apply, no matter how big the bargain.

Retailers have been cutting prices, hoping to lure people and their wallets back through their doors after the pre-Christmas splurge.

Consumer expert and author Andrew McCann says there are two key things to remember if you run into problems with purchases:


Meanwhile, a significant number of companies are considering relocating to Ireland, from Britain, after Brexit.

The IDA says its offices around the world are taking calls from firms looking for access to Europe when the UK leaves the EU.

The latest stats revealed today show that overseas businesses here now employ almost 200-thousand people.

Job losses within IDA client companies are also at their lowest level since 1997, but the trend isn’t expected to continue.
