2017 Wild Atlantic Way campaign already underway



Failte Ireland and Local Authorities in the west and north west say they are wasting no time in promoting the successful Wild Atlantic Way again this year.

Sligo and Donegal County Councils have joined up with Failte Ireland again to launch a major new initiative to promote the Wild Atlantic Way in Britain.

The new four-week campaign is being launched today and is targeting cities with good access to the west and north west of Ireland like Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Manchester.

It aims to entice British visitors to take a break along the Wild Atlantic Way which is in it’s third season and has been a major contributor to the increase in tourism numbers to Ireland in 2016.
